MTA NYC Transit
- Part of WTC Recovery Program
- Electrical Systems Inspection
- Modern Transit Hub
This major capital improvement project involved the transformation of the existing Fulton Street/Broadway-Nassau Street stations, a complex of separate stations that date back to 1905-1930. A new transit center at street and subsurface levels on Broadway between Fulton and John Streets created a focal point for entry to the entire downtown subway system.
Hirani provided construction inspection of electrical systems including AC/DC power systems. The project scope included new street access, rehabilitation of existing subway stations and passageways to improve access to and connections between six existing subway stations and 12 subway lines that link New York City.
