Preliminary Design for the Replacement of the Ellison Avenue Bridge
Hirani provided structural and civil engineering support services as a sub-consultant to PB Americas to determine the best option to provide additional vertical clearance between the tracks and a new bridge. In addition additional minimum clearance was needed in order to add a third track
Hirani’s services included preparation of Maintenance and Protection of Traffic Plans for survey, utility and geotechnical operations, and Detour Plans for the construction phase.
Hirani’s structural services included analysis of two (2) alternate design schemes including undercutting of the track and raising of the bridge.
